Beijing hosts the prize-giving ceremony for the winners of the Russian calligraphy contest

Russian Center of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) was visited by new guests 7 freshmen of the Institute of Russian Language of BFSU who became winners of the Russian calligraphy contest on November 8. Although they have been studying Russian for only two months, they are already writing the Russian alphabet beautifully.

The Head of the PUIA Russian Center and Director of the Institute of Russian Language Professor Dai Guijui congratulated the students on their success at the award ceremony. She spoke about the history of the Cyrillic alphabet and emphasized the importance of mastering the Russian language perfectly. Then, under Russian music, the students started to write Lermontov's poem "Sail". Their work will be displayed in front of the entrance to the Russian Centre.
