Putin thanked Kazakh President Kasym-Jomart Tokayev for proposing the International Russian Language Organization, stating it will enhance CIS effectiveness. During a press conference, Putin assured Russia's readiness to collaborate within the CIS based on voluntariness and mutual benefit.

Let us remember, the International Organization for the Russian Language is expected to commence operations next year, as expressed by CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev. Currently, extensive preparatory work is underway, with the organization's headquarters planned for Sochi.

Let us remember, the treaty on the establishment of the International Organization for the Russian Language was adopted at the summit of the CIS heads of state on October, 13. It is an international organization with no commercial goals. It aimed at promoting Russian as a language of international communication, strengthening cooperation with public organizations. The new structure will promote the expansion of scientific and pedagogical base for the study of the Russian language. It will also assist in the translation of literary works and help with teaching aids.
