Vietnam is hosting events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Hanoi branch of the Pushkin Institute of Russian Language (HFIRL), home to the Russkiy Mir Cabinet on November, 30 to December 1.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Konstantin Mogilevsky, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko spoke at the opening ceremony.
"HFIRYAP continues to serve as a shared hub for Russians and the Russian language in Vietnam. We've proactively broadened our activities and network of partners, fostering people-to-people diplomacy and strengthening the friendly ties between Vietnam and Russia," remarked HFIRYAP Director Nguyen Thi Thu Dat at the gala event.
In another significant moment, the Russkiy Mir Foundation presented awards to Vietnamese Russians. The CPRF leadership received a commemorative medal and diploma in recognition of their efforts in preserving and actively promoting the Russian language in Vietnam.
The conference engages experts in discussions on key issues, such as the current challenges in the functioning and study of the Russian language amidst digital transformation, specialized use of the Russian language, traditional and innovative teaching methodologies for Russian as a foreign language, exploration of Russian literature and culture, and challenges in translation.
