The World Conference of Russian Compatriots opens on Wednesday, November, 1, TASS reports. More than 150 people from 82 countries have gathered in Moscow. Among them are leaders and activists of public associations, representatives of government and clergy of various faiths, as well as heads of Russian foundations and non-governmental organizations. Among the participants is Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

''Strengthening traditional spiritual and moral values - the key to the unity of Russian compatriots'' is the theme of the forum.

The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Moscow provides support to the entire Russian-speaking community, regardless of what country people live in. This stance is not affected by complications arising in the international arena due to the actions of unfriendly countries.
