Russian compatriots from Cambodia, China, India, South Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Singapore, Thailand and Japan became participants of the regional conference n the capital of Nepal, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The conference centered on discussing the role of Russian compatriots in the changing global landscape, emphasizing the need to strengthen unity among the Russian-speaking diaspora in the Asia-Pacific region.

The Foreign Ministry is confident that the forum significantly contributes to advancing state policy goals for compatriots abroad, including promoting Russian culture, enhancing the appeal of domestic higher education, and encouraging the use of the Russian language.

Russian Ambassador Alexei Novikov praised the Russian community in the region for preserving historical memory.

In their statement, forum participants expressed support and solidarity with compatriots facing rights violations in their respective locations. They agreed that Moscow's actions on the international stage were justified responses to Western policies. The participants highlighted the crucial role of unity in enabling the Russian world to withstand external challenges at the present stage.
