Ministry received 5,000+ appeals for resettlement to Russia

Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has received over 5,000 appeals from compatriots seeking resettlement in Russia. A special working group, established a year and a half ago, is dedicated to providing prompt assistance to those desiring to return to their homeland. Notably, nearly a third of the applicants reside in  so-called "unfriendly countries."

The group started working in 2022. It comprises specialists from the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs. The department places particular emphasis on addressing the appeals of compatriots, viewing them as a priority.

The primary objective is to provide every possible aid to those compatriots intending to utilize the state program for voluntary resettlement in Russia. According to MIA this program is a crucial to facilitate the return to the homeland, offering an extensive array of state-supported measures. As part of the group's initiatives, people looking to resettle can avail themselves of consultations, can receive consultations, assistance in document preparation, and support in resolving other related issues.
