The Indian Association of Russian Compatriots donated humanitarian aid to the Mala Smriti orphanage. It is located in Noida, a satellite city of New Delhi, Rossotrudnichestvo reports.

The children received warm clothes, shoes, toys and sweet gifts. The families of Russian diplomats and employees of the Russian House joined the campaign.

The kids prepared a surprise for the guests from Russia and wished them a Happy New Year in Russian.

Earlier, Russian compatriots living in Calcutta held a charity event on the eve of the New Year and Christmas. They organized a fundraiser in support of NELC School for Blind Children in Cooch Behar District.
