The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has called blackmail Washington's statement about the possible withdrawal from the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty), RIA Novosti reports. According to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov, the United States seeks for concessions from Moscow in the sphere of strategic stability.

Russia has repeatedly noted that the United States has no grounds for accusing Moscow of violating this treaty. The diplomat recalls that for several years the US can not back up with its statements.

If Washington continues withdrawing from international treaties unilaterally, Moscow will be forced to take retaliatory steps. Ryabkov notes that it would be better to escape such scenario.

It is impossible to use publicity in such a complex issue as the INF exit.

The rejection of the clumsy and crude policy of the White House is spreading around the international community and the authorities of the US cannot disregard it, the MFA believes.

According to Alexei Pushkov, a Russian Federation Council member, if Donald Trump exits the INF agreement, this the United States will be more vulnerable. The country will not be able to get a decisive superiority, the senator claimed.

Western mass media note that the White House is considering the Russia-Us Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (New START) revising.
