According to Andrey Belousov, the representative of the MFA RF, refusal of the United States to participate in the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) shows that they have been preparing the war, TASS reports. That was his feedback when the resolution in support of theTreaty was taken off the table at the meeting of the UN Committee.

Let us recall that it was submitted by Russia. The authors of the project proposed to urge the parties to preserve the Treaty and reminded that it had been the central element in maintaining global stability.

The US ambassador Robert Wood once more made attempt to accuse Russia in alleged breaches of the Treaty. According to him, the US has been pointing out to them for five years now, and the current situation goes beyond patience of the overseas power.

The Russian diplomat reminded him that Moscow had advanced claims to the USA on performance of the Treaty since 2000, not five years ago.

The USA circulates statements that Russia has been preparing for war, he added. True, “we are preparing to defend our mother-land, our territorial integrity, our principles, our values, and our people - this is the war we are preparing for,” emphasized the Ambassador of Russia.

But if Russia is preparing for war, the USA does nothing else but preparing the war.

There is no any other way to explain Washington’s withdrawal from the INF Treaty or building up of nuclear weapons capabilities by it. Besides, the US authorities supported new nuclear doctrine, which reduced hazard level for possible application of nuclear weapons.

According to Russkiy Mir, a few days ago Washington announced its withdrawal from the treaty after US President Donald Trump accused Russia of breaching the treaty.
