A former officer of the Russian military intelligence and a former English spy Sergey Skripal whose name is now known all over the world does not believe that Moscow has anything to do with the Salisbury incident. This is stated in the book called The Case of Skripal written by the British journalist Mark Urban, Lenta.ru reports.

According to the British media, the journalist met with the victim of the Novichok nerve agent alleged use. Earlier at the beginning of March Sergey Skrypal and his daughter Julia were found unconscious in the British city of Salisbury. They were hospitalized in critical condition. The next day, the head of the British government, Teresa May, said that the former spy had been poisoned by a nerve agent. According to her, it is highly likely that Russia is involved in this poisoning.

In his book, Urban writes that Skripal does not support the official London version. Despite the fact that he gave secret information to British intelligence and was convicted in Russia for this, Skripal mainly supports Russia's foreign policy. He approves the Crimea return to Russia and does not believe that the Russian army fights in the Donbass.

Meanwhile, the author does not answer in his book why Moscow might need the assassination of Sergei Skripal as London maintains.
