The doctors, who continue to remain in the Gaza Strip, noted the humane attitude of Russia towards the residents of the enclave, RIA Novosti reports.

Russian Mohammed Callum, who heads the department of cardiovascular surgery at a European hospital in the Gaza Strip, thanked Russia. According to him, he feels proud of the country, of the president, because Russia continues to help the region.

He said that after the Israeli bombing in the Gaza Strip, only three hospitals are operating where they can perform heart operations. Among the wounded, the doctor added, there were many more women and children than men.

Muhammad Callum said he sent his wife and children to Russia. He himself stayed to help children and women.

All Russians who expressed a desire to evacuate from the conflict zone in the Middle East returned to their homeland. The plane of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which evacuated the last 73 people, landed on December, 18. A total of 1,124 people fled the Gaza Strip, including 518 children.
