Compatriots Demonstrated Russian Culture Richness to Leipzig Residents

The Day of Russia took place in Leipzig, Germany, Raduga-NTE.de reports. It was organized within the Cultural Summer in Grunau project. The audience, mostly local inhabitants, were able to see how diverce Russian culture is. 

Members of numerous artistic groups came on stage. Pupils of the Prima dance studio with dances of Russian peoples as well as ballet variations were among them.

Famous songs by Soviet composers were played.

Young viewers were excited by a comedy scene based on Soviet cartoons about Baba Yaga. The public applauded to the Song Circle choir singing Kalinka, Moscow Nights, Steppe All Around. Many of them even caught up well-known words. 

Opening of Annerose Preynosch's photo exhibition was held in conjunction with the event. Her pictures reported about a trip to Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

Moreover, the visitors were offered to taste Russian national cuisine. Pelmeni, solyanka, and pies were served. The guests tasted everything with pleasure.

Members of Culture and Communication, Leipzig. Grunau community were hospitable hostesses and organizers of this large-scale holiday.
