Residents of Chile will get acquainted with Russian cinema, the Russian House telegram channel reports. The representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Santiago, together with the Mosfilm film concern, is launching the Month of Russian Cinema on the ARTV Channel project.

Every Sunday the public will be able to watch films by Russian directors; they will be accompanied by Spanish subtitles.

Karen Shakhnazarov, who heads Mosfilm, hopes that Chilean viewers will be able to better understand Russia and Russians, which will strengthen mutual understanding between the two nations.

Russian film festivals were previously held in Angola and Benin.
