A poetic gathering celebrating the friendship between Russia and Spain took place in Alicante. The evening showcased the works of classic Russian and Spanish poets, compositions by composers, and dance performances representing both nations. The program encompassed concert pieces and a display of Russian folk costumes, reports the website of the Union of Organizations of Russian Compatriots (SORS) of Spain and Andorra.

The organizers believed in the unifying power of poetry, music, literature, and art across centuries and countries. The audience enjoyed recitations of poems by Russian poets like Alexander Blok and Marina Tsvetaeva, along with works from Spanish classics. Performances by students from the Parus Center and the State School of Languages of Alicante included classical music by Russian and Spanish composers, Russian ballet, tango, and a display of Russian folk costumes.

The evening also featured a special moment where residents of Spain who successfully completed the Russian language test received certificates.
