World Games of Young Compatriots start in Kazan

650 children and teens from 60 countries came to participate at The World Games of Young Compatriots, RIA Novosti reports. 

The Ministry of Sports and the Russian Ministry of Education and Science organize the event that is held for the second time in the Tatarstan capital. Many countries take part in the event for the very first time. 

The opening of the Games took place in the Village of the Universiade. According to the organizers, the sports program has become more wide-range. It includes basketball 3 × 3, mini football,  volleyball, soccer, table tennis, chess, swimming, rhythmic gymnastics.

World Games of Young Compatriots is the unique event: teams that wold never cross their roads at other competitions, meet only here. Thanks to the Games, participants from different countries can meet and make friends, learn new things. The event also aims the preservation of the Russian culture, language and history among the young generation.

Young Russian Compatriots are going to visit several local schools to play an intellectual game called Russian Dialogues.
