Performers from Russia, China and other BRICS+ countries became members of the new international symphony orchestra established by TV BRICS, TASS reports.

The orchestra is being created to popularize world musical art. Its aim is to familiarize the world community with the achievements of the BRICS states in the field of culture and music.

The new orchestra was headed by the director and chief conductor of the State Philharmonic of St. Petersburg for children and youth, artistic director of the Tavrichesky international orchestra Mikhail Golikov. The team will take part in international projects; its programs will include classical and folklore works.
