Ukrainian security forces continue to block access to Kiev-Pechersk Lavra

Policemen and representatives of other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine flooded the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra on Tuesday, July, 11, IA Regnum reports. They blocked the monastery buildings.

Police officers with weapons in their hands cordoned off building No. 58 and do not let either monks or parishioners into the territory of the monastery. Only some unknown people are let through, explaining that they are members of the special services. The commission of the Ministry of Culture sealed the church shop.

The Kiev regime began seizing the buildings of an Orthodox monastery on the territory of the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra last week. According to lawyer Nikita Chekman, who defends the interests of the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, the security services and the police cordoned off the buildings of the monastery. The lawyer stressed that the authorities had no legal grounds for such actions.
