Hundreds of people took to the anti-war rally in the capital of the Netherlands, which took place the day before, June, 25, TASS reports. They demanded that the government stop helping the Kyiv regime with weapons. In addition, according to the participants of the rally, the conflict in Ukraine should be resolved through negotiations.

Russian compatriots and immigrants from the Soviet Union joined the rally. They gathered on the main square of the city, where the rally took place, and then the column passed through the central streets to the sound of drums. People held white flags in their hands as a symbol of peace.

Journalist and political scientist Ab Gietink is sure that the collective West is deliberately turning a blind eye to the true causes of the problem. In his opinion, the authorities of Western countries lay the blame on Russian leader Vladimir Putin, but everything is much more complicated. The expert emphasized the need to respect the choice of people who want to be with Russia and have clearly expressed their desire in referendums both in 2014 and 2022.

The journalist considers the role of the West, including the Netherlands, which is trying to inflate the conflict by supplying weapons to Ukraine, unattractive. He also recalled that only the authorities of the Netherlands alone spent 1,5 billion euros on military assistance to Kyiv.
