MacDougall's auction house earned about three million dollars during Russian auctions, TASS reports. They took place in mid-October in the British capital.

The “Summer Afternoon by the River” and “Pine Forest” paintings by Ivan Shishkin went under the hammer. The first went to the buyer for almost 600,000 dollars, the second - for more than 650,000 dollars. The work of Konstantin Korovin " Café in Vichy N°3 " was estimated at 260,000 dollars.

The price of "Portrait of a Man" by Philip Malyavin exceeded 140,000 dollars. There is a version that in this picture the artist portrayed the famous poet Nikolai Gumilyov.

Dmitry Zhilinsky's work "The Man with the Killed Dog" was purchased for almost 140,000 dollars. The work of Nicholas Roerich “Pechora. The Entrance to the Monastery" remained unsold. Previously, this painting by the famous artist was considered lost.

The traditional Russian week is held in Britain twice a year: in spring and autumn. It brings together the auction houses of Sotheby's, MacDougall's, Christie's and Bonhams. Last year, the proceeds of trades in Russian art amounted to almost 49 million dollars.
