About half of the Russian regions begin to some extent remove restrictions aimed at combating coronavirus infection and open up for tourists, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the representative of the Federal Agency for Tourism Elena Lysenkova, at the moment, half of the regions are discussing the dates of the opening of specific objects, but in general the situation is improving. Somewhere sanatoriums have opened, but museums and entertainment venues are still waiting for their turn. The authorities of each region make decisions independently, taking into account the local epidemiological situation, the state of health care and business readiness, the expert emphasized.

Elena Lysenkova recalled that information on where, when, and how tourists can travel in certain regions can be found on the information platform of the Federal Tourism Agency - the Russia.Travel portal.
