Lenfilm Studio festival starts in Berlin

Lenfilm Days start today in  Russian House of Science and Culture in Berlin, February 5, the Russian Center website informs. The festival presents the film program covering practically the real history of Russian cinema.

The first finished Russian narrative film Stenka Razin is included into festival program. First made in USSR 1918 silent film Congestion by Anatoli Dolinov is to be screened too.

Voices in Old Walls documentary by Alexander Pozdniakov dedicated to the history of Lenfilm studio will show famous Soviet directors talking about their legendary works that entered the golden film era. Igor Maslennikov, Vitaly Melnikov, Grigory Kozintsev, Aleksander Sokurov and other popular film figures are talting about film process.
 
Silent movies to be screened with life music played by famous pianist Nikolay Kurenkov. There is going to be exhibition dedicated to Lenfilm.
