Young pianist Ivan Bessonov will represent our country at the Eurovision Young Musicians 2018 contest, Kultura TV Channel reports. Talents from 12 to 21 from more than 20 countries will come to Edinburgh, United Kingdom.

There are no restrictions in musical instruments' choice. During the 40 years history Eurovision award went to pianists, violinists, clarinetists, flute players, et cetera. The contest will take place in the end of august.

Ivan Bessonov has won already several Russian and International contests, played with recognized musicians, such as Valery Gergiev and Vladimir Spivakov. He studies piano for 10 years. Three years ago Ivan wrote a soundtrack for the Varicella documentary by Viktor Kosakovsky.

The contest is held once a two years and it aims to recognize and support young talents.
