Russian authorities are going to deport British diplomats out of the country in response to the UK actions, Sergei Lavrov claimed. Russian Foreign Minister promised that this is going to happen in the nearest future, RIA Novosti informs.

Official Spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova has earlier stated that the retaliatory measures are under way. In her words, Russia proposed London to start an active dialogue on Sergei Skripal’s case. However, all requests were answered with “meaningless formal replies”.

The Press Secretary for the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov has mentioned that the final decision on the retaliatory measures will be made by Russian President only. Vladimir Putin will choose a variant which meets interests of the country most of all, the representative of the Russian leader assured. Peskov has also added that the response to the UK actions will not be long in coming.

Note that London is deporting more than 20 Russian diplomats. British Prime Minister called them secret spies. They have to leave the country within a week. The head of the government is sure that Moscow misused the power in relation to UK in the Skripal’s case.

English authorities are going to check private planes, toughen customs cargo examination procedures. At this, Theresa May has underlined that the full breakage of a dialogue between London and Moscow does not meet British national interests.
