Golden Mask Festival plays to be shown in Tel-Aviv

goldenmask.ee Golden Mask Festival performances will travel from Russia to Israel with support of RF Ministry of Culture, RIA Novosti reports.

Tel Aviv mayor Ron Huldai marked a very important role of the Gesher festival management, that also helped to realise this project due to a very strong connection with Russian theater community. He expressed a gratitude for this very particular contribution in cultural ties consolidation between Moscow and Tel-Aviv.Mr Huldai added that Israel theater lovers have been looking forward to the start of the performances.

Among highlights are Vakhtangov Theater's drama Tsar Edip staged by Rimas Tuminas and Theater of Nations's Hamlet\Collage directed by Robert Lepage. Besides performances, there are also master-classes and q&a's in the plan.

Russian theater plays awarded by Golden Mask come to Israel since 2011. Each time actors receive the best praise from spectators. It's worth mentioning that the majority of those who come to see the shows are Russian compatriots who doubtlessly miss Russian theater living abroad.

The festival will conclude on June 3d.
