The results of the SIFFA International Film Festival were summed up in London, Smotrim reports. Vladimir Alenikov's ''Gorgon Medusa. Rehearsal with an Orchestra" received three awards at once. This is a joint project of the Kultura TV channel and the Moscow Music and Drama ANTE Theater.

Vladimir Alenikov, who acted as a screenwriter and director, offered the audience a modern interpretation of the myth of Perseus. The film participated in the feature-length film competition. It was awarded for the best cast; the prize for best music was given to composer Varvara Rogovich. Vladimir Alenikov was awarded the prize ''For Outstanding Contribution to Cinematography.''

The independent SIFFA International Film Festival was held with the support of the Russian Embassy. The organizers noted that holding the festival was fraught with difficulties, but screenings of Russian and foreign films attract full houses.

This year the festival program includes 45 films, about half of them are Russian films from different years.

The festival was held for the 7th time, in addition to Russian films, the program included films from China, the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Iran and other countries. The founder and president of the film festival, Lyubov Balagova-Kandur, said that organizing the festival in the current political situation was not easy, but everything worked out.

She noted that the festival program included films that Londoners had nowhere else to see.
