The participants of the rally in Budapest, demanded to refuse Hungary's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports. The protest action was held by the Hungarian Labour Party on November, 6. Demonstrators carried signs reading "We want peace" and "Out of NATO."

The head of the party Gyula Thürmer accused the United States and Western capital of unleashing the conflict. In his opinion, they are trying to maintain Washington's dominance in the world. Hungary cannot be allowed to descend into this conflict, he said. Peace is possible only if the security interests of both sides are taken into account, Türmer emphasised.

He recalled that November, 6 marks the anniversary of the liberation of Kiev from the Nazis. The occupiers killed most of the inhabitants of the city of 1 million people, with less than 200,000 Kiev citizens left alive.

About a hundred people took part in the action. Thürmer noted that people in Hungary are not much interested in politics nowadays, being much more concerned with the issues of everyday life. The rally didn't go unnoticed, stirring reactions from many onlookers.
