15th Russian World Assembly is taking place in Moscow

On November 3, 2023, the Russkiy Mir Foundation is holding the 15th Russian World Assembly. The main theme of the assembly is ''The mission of the Russian word in a multipolar world.''

The forum aims to discuss the problems of preserving the values, ideals, basic principles of the Russian World, to promote the Russian language and enhance the cultural and historical heritage in a changing world.

Russian compatriots from 77 countries came to Moscow to take part in the forum.

Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, Advisor to the President of Russia Vladimir Tolstoy opened the ceremonial meeting. ''I want to thank everyone personally for coming and being in this room, for being part of this great and beautiful Russian world,'' he said. Vladimir Tolstoy read out a greeting from the President of Russia, in which he welcomed the guests of the assembly from different countries and expressed his conviction that the current forum would contribute to the development of international humanitarian cooperation.

This year the assembly is taking place in Moscow. It brought together Russian language teachers from leading foreign universities; researchers of Russian literature; translators; public figures; cultural and scientific figures; journalists and bloggers who write and broadcast in Russian; diplomats; heads of organizations of Russian compatriots living abroad; representatives of the clergy and youth communities. Many are participating in this forum for the first time.

Thousands of people who share the ideals and values of the Russian World have the opportunity to watch the work of the assembly online

The forum partcipants are invited to attend the opening ceremony of the Russia exhibition at the VDNKh exhibition center. The large-scale exhibition presents the achievements of Russia in various fields of science, technology and culture; An excursion to Kolomna and a meeting with the management of the Russkiy Mir Foundation are also planned.
