More than 3,000 children will stay in the Artek recreation center as part of the international session, which started on July, 15, TASS reports. It brought together young Russians from all regions of the country and residents of 50 other countries. Guests from Poland, Egypt, Armenia, Abkhazia, Finland, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Mongolia and many other countries came to the Black Sea coast. The 8th session called ''Artek, add me as a friend'' will last until August, 5.

The program includes a festival of national cultures, educational and sports programs and social events.

An important part of the session will be the final round of the all-Russian Big Change competition, where students in grades 5-7 competed. 700 Russian and 300 foreign students will compete for victory.

The Artek pioneer camp was founded on the Black Sea coast in 1925. When Crimea returned to Russia, the center became federal property. At the same time, a large-scale reconstruction of Artek began. Now all the main work has already been completed. It is planned that by its centennial anniversary, the number of children who have stayed in the camp will exceed two million people.
