School students from 30 states won Big Change competition

The results of the Big Change contest were summed up the day before, on July, 21, in Artek, TASS reports. The winners were 74 people from 30 foreign countries. Graduates will have the opportunity to continue their education in Russian universities. In addition, the best contestants will be invited to travel around Russia as part of the More Than a Journey project.

The winners will take a train to St. Petersburg and head to Vladivostok. The route is laid through the Ural Mountains, Karelia, Lake Baikal and the Vostochny Cosmodrome. Children are expected to attend educational and cultural events. 

The finalists of the competition were congratulated by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. According to him, the Big Change allowed children to show their knowledge and skills, expand their creative potential, and acquire teamwork skills. 

The final round of the Big Change competition, where students from grades 5-7 of Russian schools and their peers from abroad compete, started on July, 18. About 700 young Russians came to the Black Sea coast from all regions of the country. The number of foreign participants aged 14 to 17 exceeded 200 people.

The Big Change has become the largest competition for children and teenagers in the country. The project aims to ensure that everyone can develop their talents and abilities.
