MSU remains in top 100 universities in the world according to QS ranking

Lomonosov Moscow State University remained among the top 100 universities in the world according to the QS World University Rankings 2024, compiled by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds. The leading Russian university is located on the 87th line of the list, TASS reports.

Moscow State University has been holding positions in the top 100 best universities in the world for the 7th year in a row. The second place among Russian universities was taken by St. Petersburg State University, the compilers of the rating put it on the 315th line.

The rating list includes 48 Russian universities from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and other cities. The top 400, in addition to those mentioned, included Bauman Moscow State Technical University, RUDN University, Kazan Federal University and the Higher School of Economics.

The compilers of the ranking evaluate the achievements of universities in six areas, the most important being academic reputation, citation and others. The share of students and teachers from abroad is also taken into account.
