Russian embassy in Ottawa informs that Canadian authorities ignore threats posed to the Russian diplomats presented on its lands, RIA Novosti reports.
The diplomatic mission published one of these messages. Its anonymous author threatens to blow up the embassy using some "assault teams." In addition, he promises to deal with the ambassador, with his family and with all the other employees of the embassy. The anonymous also promices to make a life broadcast of the massacre. This, the author of the threats writes that threats can be avoided only if the ambassador leaves the country with other diplomats.
“Despite our concern the Canadian authorities exert no efforts to preserve their and their families’ security,” the press-service informs.
Russian Ambassador to Canada Oleg Stepanov said in a statement that unknown person threw on 21st of last September a Molotov cocktail on the embassy building, adding that no casualties or damage were reported.
Earlier this year, Dutch law enforcement agencies have stopped investigating provocations against the Russian embassy and diplomats in Netherlands. An unknown intruder threw a homemade incendiary device over the fence on the territory of the Russian diplomatic mission. Some time later, a Dutchman, being influenced by Ukrainian propaganda, called for the assassination of the ambassador and his family, the Russian Foreign Ministry recalled.
