The town of Kazanlak (Bulgaria) hosted the 8th National Festival of Russian Poetry, Song and Dance. About 250 young talents from different regions of the country attended it. Vladimir Kochin, executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation, sent congratulations to the participants and organizers of the festival, the website of the Bulgarian national movement Russophiles reported.

The Russkiy Mir Foundation traditionally supports the festival. ''It is hardly possible to deny today that the festival is a significant event to strengthen mutual understanding and trust between Bulgarians and Russians,'' said Vladimir Kochin, executive director of the foundation, in his welcoming message.

The participants demonstrated their abilities in reciting poetry, performing songs and dancing in several age categories. The winners received prizes from Anastasia Kabanova, Cultural Adviser of the Russian Embassy in Bulgaria, Timur Dudayev, Acting Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Bulgaria, and Nikolai Malinov, Chairman of the Russophiles movement.
