Russian President Vladimir Putin called useless and stupid attempts by Western countries to "cancel" Russia. The president spoke at the Tavrida.Art festival.

According to Putin, history is made by people. He suggested that those who are trying to "cancel" Russian culture should first study history and learn from it.

Putin is sure that Russian youth will continue cultural traditions and ensure the continuity of generations. Young people involved in various areas of culture and art are united by common values: faith in justice, love for the Motherland, the desire to grow and to help people. According to Putin, it is these qualities that are inherent in the national character, they "make our people invincible, and our thousand-year-old culture great."

The President noted that with their actions and achievements, young people support soldiers and volunteers in the Donbass. He also pointed out that difficult periods in the life of the state open up new opportunities for brave people.

The Tavrida.ART festival began in Crimea on Monday, August, 15. It is one of the main events of the Year of Russian Cultural Heritage. About 4,000 participants from different regions of the country gathered in Crimea. The program includes over 300 events.
