Russian Center to be open at the University of Isfahan

New Russian Center will open at the Iranian University of Isfahan. According to Executive director of the Russkiy Mir Foundation Vladimir Kochin, an agreement has already been signed. Russkiy Mir Foundation to open the center as soon as pandemics restrictions aimed are going to be lifted, the website of Saint Petersburg's Committee for External Relations reports.

Mr. Kochin expressed confidence that the center will provide a unique opportunity for Iranians to learn more about national culture treasures. The head of the Foundation spoke about this while participating in the festival dedicated to the cooperation between St. Petersburg and Isfahan.

The online festival was held online by St. Petersburg State University and Isfahan University with the support of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Isfaan, the Russkiy Mir Foundation, the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg and the Isfahan Municipality. Residents of St. Petersburg have learned new things about the centuries-old traditions and vast cultural heritage of Iran.

There are unique history and culture monuments in both cities. Long-term cooperation between Isfahan and St. Petersburg has brought noticeable results. Some of the joint projects are being implemented in business and humanitarian spheres. One of the St. Petersburg squares bears the name of the Iranian partner city. Festival speakers expressed their hope that one of the streets of Isfahan to be named after St. Petersburg in the closest future.
