A rally, contests for adults and children, a series of radio programs, memorial and many other events will be held in Ireland on the threshold of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War in 2020. 
According to representatives of the Russian Community Council (KSORS) in Ireland, the Council is finalizing the calendar of events for anniversary of the Victory Day, the KSORS website reports. 

KSORS representatives shared that they were actively involved in event preparation. They also coordinate the events with the authorities and police in various cities and regions of Ireland. The active phase of event program dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory will commence in early April 2020, when “Nobody is forgotten and nothing is forgotten”, the traditional series of commemorative events, opens in Ireland.

The program includes "Russian Hour", a series of radio programs, which will broadcast interviews with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, as well as poems about the war recited by students of Russian schools in Ireland. Children and teenagers will take part in a poetry and song contest dedicated to events of those days and in an essay competition. They will also listen to conversations about the war and watch war films - their screenings will be organized as a part of the events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory.

According to the organizers, a large-scale rally dedicated to the Victory Day will be the main event. The year 2020 will mark the 10th anniversary of the tradition to conduct rallies. Over the years it has grown into the grand event with hundreds of cars participating.
