The Swiss Academy for International Law to start training specialists who will protect rights of Russians and compatriots abroad. The initiative to open a higher educational institution was made by the Association of Lawyers of Russia (ALR), RAPSI agency reports. According to the representative of the ALR Stanislav Alexandrov, the project was implemented with the assistance of several Russian universities, including Kutafin Moscow State Law University, Moscow State University of Foreign Affairs, Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and some others.

The Academy will train international law professionals who speak several foreign languages. University graduates will become highly qualified professionals who will be able to defend the rights of Russians and compatriots at the international level. Experts in commercial and labor law, intellectual property and other areas will also be trained there.

Stanislav Aleksandrov is convinced that it makes sense to train highly qualified lawyers not only in Russia but abroad as well, especially in such large educational centers as Geneva. They will defend the interests of our country in the international arena.

In addition, a unique feature of the Academy is the educational program for the training of lawyers in the field of sports. The representative of the ALR recalled that recently Russian athletes had to face injustice in this area. From a legal point of view, the sanctions were imposed on them illegally.
