Russia in top 10 world’s smartest countries

14.01.2019

British portal Vouchercloud carried out the research of which countries are “the smartest”, RIA Novosti informs.

The study was considering three factors: the number of Nobel Laureates, average IQ of the population, and the school performance. The final list included 25 “smartest countries”.

Japan is in the first place, followed by Switzerland, China, the USA and the Netherlands. China is number two amongst the highest average IQ rates, and the USA is taking the first place by the number of Nobel Laureates.

Russia is number six on the list due to the high level of school education and a decent number of Nobel Laureates.

Interestingly, Singapore could compete with Japan to become number one. This country has the biggest number of residents with high IQ level and well-educated youth. However, Singapore has lack of Nobel Laureates; it is only in the 73rd place for this factor.
