Kiev was so glad at the victory of the Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Alexander Usyk over the sportsman from Russia Murat Gassiev, and started to cherish fantasies of political-military victory over Russia. In particular, one of the Ukrainian Ministers Vladimir Omelyan has claimed about it, according to RIA Novosti. He wrote at one of his accounts at the social networks about the Ukrainian anthem on the ruins of Moscow.

Boxers met the day before in Moscow. Having won, Usyk became a holder of the Mohhammed Ali Cup and got a title of the absolute world champion.

Sports fame is evidently not enough for Minister Omelyan, as he disliked the fact that the boxer was constantly speaking Russian. As he claimed, the Russian language sounded horrible to his ear.

The victory at the boxing ring was a reason for other pompous claims from Kiev, including that of the President. Poroshenko said that the state anthem performed at the Russia’s capital was a symbol of the Ukrainian struggle. The head of the Ukrainian government V. Groysman, in his turn, is sure that the boxer should be bestowed the title of the Ukraine’s Hero.

Russian Parliament member, boxer Nikolai Valuev believes that intention of the Kiev authorities to join politics and sports is a wretched trick. Many internet users criticized the claims of the Ukrainian politicians as well.
