Days of Slavonic writing and culture start in Tallinn

Days of Slavonic literature and culture start in Tallinn. The festival is dedicated to the 1155 years since the establishment of Slavonic writing, reports Tallinn Center of the Russian culture. 

Organisers mark that such kind of events bring Russian community together and shows that Slavic people don't forget their tradisions and ready to share them with others. 

Creative groups from Russia, Belorussia and Ukraine to perform. Entrance is free to lectures on history of Russian literature, Alexander Pushkin and Ivan Turgenev works, and exhibitions. 

May 24th is the day of  Slavic Apostles St. Cyril and St. Methodius who gave the world a written word.  This day Slavic people celebrate with festivals and special events.
