An international project the Golden Mask in Israel starts in Tel-Aviv, Israel. The Festival will last from the 3d until 26th of May, TASS reports.

An international project of the Russian Theatre National Award the Golden Mask and the Theatre Festival with the same name in Israel is taking place as a part of the Jaffa Fest-2018 International Theatre Festival organized by Gesher Theatre with participation of Russian and Israeli Ministries of Culture.

First, the Russian theatre performances of the Golden Mask were successfully demonstrated here back in 2011. The decision was to arrange the similar event on an annual basis in order to make cultural relations between the Russian Federation and Israel much stronger.

The Golden Mask in Israel’s agenda includes 4 performances this year. The festival will be opened by GrozaGroza staging presented by the Theatre of Nations (the stage director Yevgeny Marcelli). Then the Israeli spectators will be able to watch the Solar Line staged by Meyerhold Center (the stage director Viktor Ryzhakov, who is also leading a creative master-class). Another theatrical performance at the festival is Magadan\Cabaret by Moscow Theatre Around the House of Stanislavsky directed by Yuri Pogrebnichko. The Festival will end up with the Egyptian Nights performance directed by Pyotr Fomenko.
