Nationalists attack Russian Consulate General in Odessa

27.02.2018

Several dozens of nationalist protesters threw burning missiles into the building of Russian Consulate General in Odessa and spilt the building with paint, TASS informs. Before starting the attack, extremists sang the Ukraine national anthem. By shouts and attack-cries of the radicals, it became clear that their campaign is timed with anniversary of Crimea’s unification with Russia.

Traditionally, the local police did not try to stop the extremists. During the attack there were around 50 people in the uniform, however they did not prevent the nationalists from their illegal actions.

Various Russian organizations and state structures at the territory of Ukraine are continuously subject to nationalists’ attacks. Thus, radicals damaged buildings of the Russian Center of Science and Culture and some Russian banks in Kiev on February 17 and 18.
