ISS 20th anniversary to be marked by International Space Lab

Flickr/ NASA JohnsonAnniversary of ISS launching will be marked by implementation of the Open Lab project, TASS reports. The head of the project Eugeny Nasyrov has advised that November 20 is 20th anniversary of the International Space Station. This date will be celebrated in different countries. The Open Lab will join. A large Cosmo-Laba forum will take place where the central topics would be space technologies, astronomy, and astrophysics. This campaign will be international and multilingual.

Note that International campaign on checking scientific literacy called The Open Lab will be held on February 10 for the second time. It has broadened its geography over a year of its existence. People from Germany, France, Spain, UK, Kazakhstan, China and other countries will take part in the campaign. People in Russia will be able to check their literacy on hundreds of grounds from Kamchatka until Murmansk. They are located in educational institutions, libraries and museums. Besides, all assignments could be completed without leaving homes – they will be published online.

Leading Russian scientists are conducting tests on scientific worldview at the grounds of the forum. Then scientific shows will be organized as well as tours around laboratories, master-classes, demonstrations of non-fiction programmes, presentations of books and many other activities.
