Russian and Brazilian presidents agreed on extended strategic dialogue

Russia and Brazil are continuing to strengthen a strategic dialogue on external politics, TASS informs.
The corresponding document was signed by the two countries’ leaders Vladimir Putin and Michel Temer after completion of negotiations held today in Moscow. It is worth reminding that the Brazilian president is currently paying an official visit to Russia.

The document specifies that both parties are making their best to establish more fair democratic and multipolar system of international relations based on the United Nations’ values and international rights. Besides, both parties have mentioned the necessity to reform the organization of the United Nations.

According to them, it is very important to find a political and diplomatic way out of any existing disagreements. Presidents of both countries agree that “respect to principles of good will, sovereign equality of countries, non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and close cooperation contradict unilateral application of compulsory measures and economic sanctions, which are not based on the international rights.

Vladimir Putin and Michel Temer supported development of mutual coordination of measures to stand up against traditional and new threats and challenges of the current environment.

Presidents touched upon the questions of economic collaboration development, joint work in space, coordination of efforts against terrorism and political settlement of the Syrian conflict.
