The Russian House in Mexico City assisted in the opening of a charity canteen where 120 children from low-income families can eat. The building for the canteen was built on the site of a vacant lot over the course of two years, it is equipped with everything necessary for organizing lunches, the Russian House telegram channel reports.

The canteen was opened by the Cimientos Firmes Para Niñez charity foundation with the support of the Russian House in Mexico City and blogger Arty el Ruso. More than two years ago, the Russian institution met the famous blogger and a married couple who founded a charitable foundation.

From that time on, representatives of the Russian House began visiting the foundation’s wards, and educational classes were held for them, dedicated to the Russian culture. The Russian House sent kitchen utensils, books and gifts to those in need.

Within the cooperation, a building was built where children from poor families can get food. In addition, the building will house a store for selling products made by the charitable foundation.

During the opening of the canteen, which was timed to coincide with Christmas, the children were fed lunch and given gifts.
