Residents and guests of Paris can learn the details of one of the most massive and bloody battles of WWII - the Battle of Kursk. The ''Sunset of the Citadel'' exhibition, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the battle, opened at the Russian House of Science and Culture in the French capital, the institution’s telegram channel reports.

The exposition was created in cooperation with the Moscow Museum of Victory. It reveals one of the most significant chapters of the Great Patriotic War, presenting the Battle of Kursk as a battle that largely predetermined the victory of the Soviet army over the Nazi troops.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to learn the details of the battle and its significance for history, as well as see the Battle of Kursk through the eyes of the battle participants thanks to the letters and memoirs presented.

The exhibits include materials from the funds of the Museum of Victory: documents, photographs, memoirs of front-line soldiers, posters, paintings and graphics by Soviet artists, including participants in the battle.
