France retained budget places, grants and scholarships for Russian students, despite the difficulties in relations between the countries, the Russian Eyewitness website reports.

It is noted that this year, despite rumours about a biased attitude towards Russian students in European countries, in France the number of budget places and educational grants has increased, allowing Russian citizens to study in the country. Moreover, the website notes, this year the answers to the applications "came even faster than usual."

There are also scholarships for Russians who study in France, the selection is carried out by specialists from the country's embassy in Russia. It is reported that a number of students have already received confirmation of scholarships for the next academic year. Young people who speak a foreign language, who have shown success in their studies and who have presented research projects relevant to France are invited to study.
