The World Festival of Youth and Students is scheduled to start on February, 29, 2024, TASS reports. According to Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration, it will continue until March, 7. Festival participants will gather in Sochi.

Kiriyenko also suggested lowering the age of the young participants. He added that this would ensure the participation of members of the Russian Movement of Children and Youth in the festival.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova is sure that there are no borders for young people. No barriers erected by Western countries will be able to prevent young people from coming to Russia, she said.

About 20,000 people will become participants in the World Youth Festival. According to the head of Rosmolodezh, Ksenia Razuvaeva, it is planned that they will come from 180 countries, including unfriendly ones.
