The Immortal Regiment campaign, dedicated to the Victory Day, is taking place in the countries of South America, Asia, Europe and other parts of the world. In Buenos Aires, the procession took place despite an attempt to disrupt the event, RIA Novosti reports.

The rally took place in the center of Buenos Aires and was attended by Russian compatriots and Argentines who sympathize with Russia. During the event, some people came to the square and tried to disrupt the event, they shouted insulting slogans against Russia and the special military operation.

Not only Russians, but also Argentines stood up to protect the memory of the heroes. The attempt to disrupt the procession was unsuccessful. The Russian embassy stressed that "support from the Argentinean public" helped thwart the plans of "a group of victims of Western propaganda."

One of the participants in the rally, Horacio Ramos, noted that since 2014 he had supported the Donbass, which was subjected to systematic shelling by Ukrainian security forces. ''Without Russia, Argentina has no future,'' he stressed.

In Ulaanbaatar, about 500 members of the Immortal Regiment marched along Sovetov Avenue to Zhukov Square. Residents of the Mongolian capital greeted the participants of the march very warmly - cars honked, passers-by waved their hands.

In Costa Rica, representatives of political movements from Chile, Nicaragua, and Venezuela joined the procession.
