Exhibition of works by laureates of Andrey Stenin International Competition opened in New Delhi

Over 60 photographs taken by the laureates of the Andrey Stenin International Photojournalism Competition are being exhibited in New Delhi. One of the galleries in the Indian capital hosted an exposition that is on a world tour, RIA Novosti reports.

The exhibition was organized with the support of the representative office of the Russia Today media group in New Delhi and the Russian Embassy in India. It presents photographs and series of photographs by authors from India, Russia, China, Iran, Italy, Bangladesh and other countries. The exhibition is open until February, 23.

Russian Ambassador to India Denis Alipov, head of the Sputnik office in India Olga Dycheva, executive director of the competition Alexander Shtol, representatives of Indian public organizations and the media took part in the opening ceremony of the exposition.

Russian Ambassador Denis Alipov noted that the initiative to hold the competition was supported by the Russian Commissioner for UNESCO, the project provides an excellent opportunity for young photojournalists to express themselves.

Before coming to India, the exhibition worked in South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, in the future the organizers intend to open an exposition in many cities of the world, including the states of the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

Acceptance of works for the next competitive season started on Andrey Stenin's birthday, December, 22. International media partners of the competition are news agencies from Russia, China, South Africa and Lebanon.
