Athletes from 10 countries to take part in Children of Asia Winter Games in Kuzbass

More than 1,000 young athletes will compete for the awards of the Children of Asia international sports winter games. They will begin in a month in Kuzbass, TASS reports. Representatives of more than ten countries will gather there. The tournament will be held for the 2nd time.

It is planned to play sets of medals in a number of traditional sports, including ski jumping, snowboarding, alpine skiing, hockey, cross-country skiing and others. The program will be complemented by competitions in curling, freestyle and speed skating. In addition, a tournament in snow volleyball and e-sports is scheduled to take place.

The official start date for the games is February, 23.
 
According to the head of the region, Sergei Tsivilev, a large-scale sporting event will be the best chance to demonstrate how great the potential of Kuzbass is.
 
The organizers noted that they have already received applications from eight Russian regions. Several hundred volunteers from Russia and abroad will be involved in the games.
